LUNCHEON

June 5, 2010

On Thursday June 03, 2010 the Greater New York Floor Coverers Industry Promotional Fund held its 26th annual awards luncheon at the Water Club at 30th Street and the East River.

This year the Trustees added two more graduates to our Scholarships. We gave four scholarships out this year. Recipients were Jessica Henricksen, Rebekah Dietrich, Philip Luppino and Christian Sherland. The four young men and women were the 55th 56th 57th and 58th recipients of the award. We wish them Good Luck and welcome to the establishment.

The CO-HONOREE of the Francis J.P. McHale Scholarship was Stephen E. Richardson Vice President at National Interiors Inc. Stephen Richardson years of experience encompass carpentry, interior construction, millwork and flooring. His earlier work was as a carpenter's assistant at camps in New York. He studied architecture and industrial arts at City College. Upon his return to the industry he loved, Richardson joined the carpenters union and quickly rose up the ranks from apprentice to vice president of a major interior construction firm.

Eventually, through a series of mergers, Richardson began working with a counterpart from one of the acquired firms, Steve Keriakos. Both men worked tirelessly worked their ways up the ranks, shared a wealth of expertise, as well as common values and goals. In 2003, they founded National Interiors, a premier interior construction firm focusing on fine flooring systems and millwork.
