26th Annual
Convention
March 9-12, 2008
|
FCICA held it's 26th annual Convention in Savannah Georgia from March 09, thru 12, 2008 at the Mulberry Inn. Total attendance was 102.
The educational sessions were well attended. Jim Dipelesi reported thar the session he found most interesting was about reuse, recycle and the Green movement. He said "This is something the industry as a whole should take very seriously".
In 2002 we had 5 recycling facilities and in 2007 we now have 61 facilities in the U.S.A. Another topic that held Jim's interest was about dust control during shot blasting, concrete polishing, grinding or scarifying.
Your executive director has been in touch with the local OSHA Office to check on the standards for dust control. The OSHA agent said that they were stepping up inspections on dust control in the New York area.
