OSHA Outreach Trainers Attend Construction 502 Update Course
Every four years, OSHA Outreach Trainers must attend a construction 502 update course. OSHA offers these courses all over the country. In the twenty years that Jim Dipelesi has been a trainer, he has participated in Chicago twice , Rhode Island, and in Piscataway New Jersey for the second time.
From June 23rd through June 25th, Jim attended the couse held at The School of Public Health, a Part of Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey along with 14 other instructors from all over the country. The OSHA trainer was Mr. Myles O'Malley who did a great job.
The trainers were from Union and the public sector, one or two were from Insurance companies, a few were from New York City Transit. OSHA will be coming up with a few new changes (date not set yet) on how the 10 hour and the 30 hour course can be run. Jim's understanding is that the 10 hour course must be given in two days and the 30 hour course must take four days.
